Wherever an access point crosses a pathway it is necessary to ensure that traffic across the pathway does not cause undue wear and tear or damage. For this purpose the best solution is Dropped Kerbs.

Dropped Kerbs

Across the UK and Ireland, local authorities have requirements in place to ensure that access points to properties do not compromise the condition of any pathways they cross. This generally means that to ensure there is no damage caused to either the pathway itself or to the kerb edge of the pathway there should be dropped kerbs installed and a ramped acces to the property as appropriate.

Our Standard Kerb Range

To ensure that you can comply fully with these requirements and ensure the continued life and integrity of the pathway at the entrance to your property, Killeshal manufacture a range of Dropped Kerbs (sometimes referred to as dropper kerbs). This range of kerbs match perfectly our standard kerb range and are made with the same concrete mix and process.

We have various models of concrete kerbs within our kerbing ranges to suit various applications. Our road kerbs in particular are hydraulically pressed to ensure that they stand up to the rigours of heavy road vehicles passing over them.

So, our matching dropped kerbs are manufactured with the same hydarulic press process to ensure they stay in good shape at the entrance to your property. Dropped kerbs from Killeshal are matched appropriately to standard kerbs dimensions to ensure that they are easily installed alongside the standard height kerb making a neat and tidy transition to the dropped access level on the roadway.

As always, if you have a particular custom requirement, talk to our engineering team to see how we can help to create a solution tailored to your needs.
