Precast Concrete Pier Caps

Killeshal have been producing precast concrete pier caps in addition to wall caps for many years, so we know what makes a pier cap that can satisfy your needs in both style and function. The history of pier caps goes back centuries and even in some of the earliest Romanesque examples, pier caps were used for both their aesthetic value and to protect the stonework beneath.

With regard to function, Killeshal’s precast concrete pier caps are created to protect the integrity of the pier masonry or block-work by deflecting rainwater away from the pier through a combination of their sloped top surfaces and the drip channels on their under-sides. These drip channels prevent water that is shed from the top from creeping along to the pier face and so help to prevent staining of the pier face.
